Awakening the Storyteller in Yourself

"What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters
compared to what lies within us."  William Morrow

This workshop presents the fundamentals of storytelling as a powerful and enriching tool for the teacher's repertoire of style and strategy. Participants will learn and practice the essential elements of storytelling techniques as they re-discover the gifts of the storyteller in themselves. Teachers will also explore ways to empower storytelling and the writing of stories in their students. This presentation offers solid, educational evidence of the power of story for the intellectual, emotional, and spiritual growth of the child. Workshop materials are designed to stimulate the use of story and metaphor in lesson planning across the curriculum for teachers and students.
